After watching Silence of the Bees in the summer of 2009, I searched for information about how to learn beekeeping.  Not surprisingly, I discovered that my alma mater, the University of Minnesota, offered an extension course through the Department of Entomology, called “Beekeeping in Northern Climates”.  The course fills up quickly, so I was registered by September for the class in March 2010.
